Another day and no dollar:)

I don't get Paid a single dollar for homeschooling:) And I am okay with that. I can't say this enough... Blessed! I feel so blessed to have amazing mentors in our life! Really, we are in a commonwealth group. If you have middle school- High schoolers, hands down this ROCKS! I am thankful I listened to that still small voice that told me to homeschool my children. Im forever grateful for my Heavenly Father who has put amazing people in our lives.  I am forever grateful for Jesus Christ who is my example in this world. I love him dearly and I am grateful to be me. I am grateful I have had HUGE AWFUL trials in my life. This has made me the person I am today.
School Stuff:

  • We cont. to go to our groups
  • I love that little voice that whispers what my children need to learn that day.
  • I love, love, that we can spend hours on one subject because we really are into it and liking what we are learning.
  • Travel- Of course the best way to see and learn is doing! I like being a doer. I like being a shaker and a mover too:) Getting things done:)
  • Well rounded- Homeschooling is very well rounded.
  • I'm loving it!
  • Who would of ever thought I'd be "One Of Them" Homeschoolers:) Well, it's so worth it to me and worth giving up my Me time, I still find me time and we time:) Just not really in the daytime.
  • If you ever find your heart telling you that your kids need to be homeschooled, like I did. Don't be scared it really isn't bad at all. You'll know, your heart will tell you and he will confirm it. And it took me a good month or two to even accept the very thought of it. You'll be blessed for listening.

High School

Here is a great online option for high school:  www.wacademy.org.  They now have divided up all classes so that you just enroll and pay for the online class you take. It explains how they do math, science, fine arts, and PE  - a week-long canyoneering excursion.  It is expensive, but it might be that you are looking for one-or-two classes to take not everything.  WA is now also working with LEMI, the master-minds behind the commonwealths, to give students who complete the commonwealth classes (all but Shakespeare) a full year of high school credit.

I copied this from an E- mail my
friend sent me.
However, I'm really thinking this
is going to be a good fit for our
family! I know another family who
loves this school;) Ive heard students
from all over attend;)
Check it out.
